AUBURN, Ala. - Marlon Davidson made an instant impact in Auburn's defensive line, winning a starting spot in the first game and spending the rest of the season disrupting offenses.
Davidson and teammate Javaris Davis were rewarded for their first-season success when they were named to the coaches All-SEC Freshman Team on Thursday.
They joined some of their veteran Auburn teammates who were honored with All-SEC selections leading up to the freshman team announcement.
Davidson's 35 tackles were the second most among Auburn's defensive linemen. He had six tackles for a loss and six quarterback hurries.
Davis had 32 tackles and two interceptions.
The coaches named their All-SEC team on Tuesday. The AP named its All-SEC team on Thursday. The Auburn players honored with those selections are here.
