AUBURN, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" With four starters returning from an NCAA second-round team in 2015-16, the Auburn women's basketball team is ranked in the preseason top 25 by a pair of publications.
The Tigers earned a No. 20 ranking in the Athlon Sports basketball preview edition, and Auburn was ranked No. 24 by Lindy's Sports in its preseason magazine.
Auburn was fifth out of seven SEC teams in the Athlon preseason rankings, joining No. 3 South Carolina, No. 7 Mississippi State, No. 13 Tennessee, No. 15 Kentucky, No. 21 Florida and No. 25 Missouri.
In Lindy's, Auburn was ranked along with No. 4 South Carolina, No. 12 Mississippi State, No. 16 Tennessee, No. 17 Missouri and No. 18 Florida.
Two of Auburn's non-conference opponents also appeared in the magazines' preseason rankings. Indiana, who visits Auburn Arena on Nov. 27, is ranked 19th by Athlon and 20th by Lindy's. The Tigers also face West Virginia on Thanksgiving Day in Savannah, Ga.; the Mountaineers are ranked 23rd by Lindy's.

Auburn is coming off a 20-13 season in 2015-16 and earned its 19th NCAA Tournament berth, advancing to the second round. The Tigers return four starters and eight total letterwinners from last year's squad as coach Terri Williams-Flournoy begins her fifth season at Auburn.
Season tickets are currently on sale to the general public. Reserved seats are available beginning at $60 per ticket, and general admission tickets are $50 each. Once again in 2016-17, men's basketball season ticket-holders can add a women's basketball general admission season ticket for just $25 per seat.
