Auburn women's tennis picked fourth in SEC preseason poll

AUBURN, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" Auburn women's tennis was picked to finished fourth in the annual Southeastern Conference coaches' preseason poll, the league announced Thursday.

Auburn received 147 points in the preseason poll, voted on by the women's tennis head coach at each institution and is based on a 14-13-12-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 vote.

The Tigers join eight other league teams ranked in the top-25 of the preseason Oracle/ITA team rankings. No. 15 Auburn joins No. 1 Florida, No. 6 Georgia, No. 9 Vanderbilt, No. 16 South Carolina, No. 19 LSU, No. 20 Kentucky, No. 21 Texas A&M and No. 24 Mississippi State.

In 2016, the Tigers finished fourth in the SEC with a program record 24 victories, including a 9-4 conference record. Auburn returns five players from last season, including juniors Andie Dikosavljevic and Allie Michaud, who combined for 46 singles victories in 2016.
