Scott Lazeroff and Alison Maillard each closed out the Tennessee Diving Invitational with third-place finishes on the platform on Thursday afternoon.
Lazeroff scored a 337.90 in the men's competition and Maillard a 229.75 in the women's competition to bring home Auburn's highest finishes during the three-day meet, with Maillard also taking fifth on the 1-meter and eighth on the 3-meter during the week.
"Overall I was pleased with the competition, although I felt we weren't as competitive on platform as our previous scores we've achieved," head coach Jeff Shaffer said.
South Carolina's Allyson Nied won the women's platform (252.80) and LSU's Juan Hernandez won the men's platform (413.55).
Pete Turnham finished ninth (291.85) and Justin Checchin placed 26th (195.80) in the men's competition.
In the women's competition, Maddie Cox placed 22nd (192.00), Claire Schuermann was 28th (183.95) and Miranda Telmanik was 29th (183.15).
"The value of competing at Tennessee, site of the SEC Championships, should prove to help us in our preparations and performance at SECs," Shaffer said. "We look forward to getting back to Auburn and competing against Texas A&M on Saturday. We will have competed against all SEC diving teams after Saturday, giving us an idea of where we rank individually and what we need to improve upon to increase our ranking within the conference."
Saturday's swimming and diving dual meet against Texas A&M begins at 11 a.m. CT from the James E. Martin Aquatics Center. Admission is free.
