BANDON, Ore. - No. 19 Auburn Men's Golf is in eighth after two rounds of play at the Bandon Dunes Championship at 7-over 284-299-583. Sophomore Jacob Solomon is in a four-way tie for 11th at 2-under 69-73-142.
Solomon, a native of Dublin, Calif., is just six strokes behind Texas Tech's Hannes Ronneblad (65-71-136), who holds the individual lead at 8-under. He carded a trio of birdies as part of his 1-over 73 second round.
A trio of Tigers are tied for 28th at 3-over in freshman Jovan Rebula (72-75--147), sophomore Trace Crowe (71-76-147) and senior Matt Gilchrest (72-75-147).
Senior Will Long is t-68th at 9-over 77-76-153 while fellow senior Ryan Benton (77-77-154) is 74th and junior Ben Schlottman is t-79th at 79-77-156. Benton and Schlottman are playing as individuals.
No. 14 Oregon continues to lead at 16-under 275-285-560 followed by No. 9 Texas Tech (283-287-570), Oregon State (286-288-574), No. 18 Texas A&M (286-289-575), No. 21 Colorado (283-292-575), Georgia State (286-293-579), Denver (284-299-583), Auburn, Fresno State (291-297-588), Seattle University (298-293-591) and Washington State (290-301-591).
Boise State and San Jose State are t-12th at 21-over 597 followed by host-Gonzaga (292-308-600), Utah Valley (297-304-601) and CSU-Northridge (296-312-608).
