AUBURN, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" The Auburn gymnastics team stands at No. 21 in the weekly RoadToNationals.com rankings, having an RQS score of 196.135.
The Tigers are coming off a successful finish to the regular season as the team topped Pittsburgh, 196.300-194.200, in Auburn Arena Friday night. The team score was the highest for Auburn at home this year.
Auburn will head to the 2017 SEC Gymnastics Championship as the seventh seed, competing in the afternoon session. The conference meet is set to take place Saturday, March 18 in the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Fla., beginning at 2 p.m. ET. The Tigers will kick things off on beam and move to floor, vault, and bars.
"This is an exciting time of the year for this team," head coach Jeff Graba said. "This is going to be a great meet and our young group will need to perform well to stay in the postseason mix."
