AUBURN, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" No. 5 Auburn women's tennis fell to No. 22 Texas A&M by a score of 4-1 on Friday in College Station, Texas.
Auburn took the early momentum, winning the doubles point with wins on courts two and three. No. 67 duo Alannah Griffin and Andie Dikosavljevic got things started with a 6-3 victory on court two and improved to 12-4 (3-1 SEC) on the season.
Ranked No. 38, Georgie Axon and Caroline Turner defeated Macarena Olivares and Stefania Hristov on court three in a thriller, 7-6 (5). The duo is now 10-5 on the season.
Texas A&M clinched the match in singles, with wins on courts one, two four and six.
Auburn will return to action for it's sixth-straight match against a ranked opponent as the Tigers travel to Baton Rouge, La. to face off against No. 27 LSU at 11 a.m. CT.
