AUBURN, Ala. -- Former Auburn baseball standouts Tim Hudson, Gabe Gross, Scott Sullivan, legendary head coach Hal Baird and others will all take part in the 2017 Baseball Legends of the Plains Fantasy Camp scheduled for October 27-29.
The camp is limited to 35 participants and is a great opportunity for baseball enthusiasts to spend a weekend with former Auburn baseball legends as well as current head coach Butch Thompson. Auburn legends will take part in all aspects of the weekend as participants will get to learn from the best, interact with fan favorites and attend exclusive camp-only events.
The Baseball Legends of the Plains Fantasy Camp is open to adults age 21 and older. The cost is $2,250 per participant. The camp is offering an "Early Bird" registration discount for those who sign up by August 1, for just $1,995. Additional options also include golf ($110) and lodging ($250). A $500 deposit is required at initial registration. Final payments are due by October 20. Campers may register on-line through the camp website, or e-mail us for a registration brochure and pay by cash or check.
Camp activities include Friday golf outing (optional) with Auburn baseball legends with dinner and social to follow at Kenteska Plantation, Tim Hudson's family farm.
Saturday begins with "Legends Tales" breakfast featuring a panel of former Auburn stars for a Q&A session. Later that morning will be a "Behind the Scenes" seminar with Auburn head coach Butch Thompson. Coach Thompson will offer an exclusive in-depth look at the Auburn baseball program.
Other activities on Saturday will include an on-field component where participants will "Spike it up" and take the field to relive their glory days alongside the Auburn legends. Each participant will be assigned a locker in Auburn's state of the art clubhouse and will be issued a team uniform for the day as you hit the field for some batting practice, drills, and fun! Participants will also have the opportunity to get an up close look at the 2018 Tigers during an afternoon practice. Saturday will conclude with a dinner at the home of Coach Thompson.
