AUBURN, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" The No. 4/6 Auburn softball team is set to continue its road swing when it travels to No. 2/1 Florida for a three-game series, March 25-27.

The opening two games, set to start at 5 p.m. Saturday and 6 p.m. Sunday, will be televised on ESPN2. The series finale Monday at 6 p.m. will be carried on the SEC Network. Mark Neely, Amanda Scarborough and Michele Smith are set to have the call.

All three duels this weekend are also available on local radio at 95.9 FM and on the official Auburn app. Brad Law will have the call from the booth for the SEC series.

Auburn is off to its second-best start in the record books with a 27-3 start through the first 30 games this season. The Tigers' best 30-game start came in 2015 when they went 28-2 to begin the campaign.

The Tigers have won 116 games all-time against ranked opponents and boast a 55-37 record against the top 25 since head coach Clint Myers took over for the 2014 season.

Auburn leads the SEC with 164 walks and ranks in the top three in runs (201), RBI (181), doubles (43), home runs (31), and runs allowed (40).

After wrapping up the series this weekend, the Tigers stay on the road for a three-game set at Georgia, March 31-April 2.

Player to Watch: Carlee Wallace

Junior catcher Carlee Wallace has emerged as one of the top leadoff hitters in the SEC this season. She currently leads the team with a .750 slugging percentage and a .523 on-base percentage. She's also hitting an astronomical .639 when leading off an inning this season for the Tigers. Wallace's hot start has also carried over to her defensive play as she's caught five runners stealing and has picked off one runner in 2017.

Inside the Series: Florida

The Tigers and Gators have met 58 times in series history, with Florida maintaining a 38-20 advantage in the series. The Gators have won 19 of 28 meetings in Gainesville, however the Tigers have taken the last two matchups overall, both from a season ago.

A Series Win by Auburn Would...

A series win by Auburn would give the Tigers their first over Florida since 2005 when they swept the Gators in three games at Jane B. Moore Field. The last time Auburn took a series against Florida in Gainesville came in 2002.

Perfect Performance

Junior pitcher Kaylee Carlson tossed the second perfect game in program history (and first since Holly Currie in 2005) against Ohio State. In the contest, Carlson threw just 66 pitches (41 strikes) and threw a first-pitch strike to all 18 batters she faced. The Garden Grove, Calif. native never reached a 3-ball count in the outing.

In Good Company

Senior Kasey Cooper became the second player in SEC history to reach 250 hits and 250 RBI in a career, joining Charlotte Morgan of Alabama. Cooper, who has 254 RBI, needs just 11 RBI to break the SEC record of 264 in a career, currently held by the aforementioned Morgan.
