No. 20 Auburn Men's Golf to play at the Hootie at Bulls Bay

AUBURN, Ala. - No. 20 Auburn Men's Golf is set to begin play at the Hootie at Bulls Bay Sunday through Tuesday at the par-72, 7,268-yard Bulls Bay Golf Course in Awendaw, S.C.

The 15-team field includes No. 2 Virginia, Houston, College of Charleston, Purdue, Georgia State, Kentucky, South Carolina, Wisconsin, Richmond, Kansas, Ole Miss, NC State, Missouri and Charleston Southern.

Trace Crowe, Jacob Solomon, Jovan Rebula, Will Long and Matt Gilchrest will play the course for the Tigers while senior Ryan Benton will play as an individual.

Crowe, a sophomore from Bluffton, S.C., leads the team at 71.11 strokes. He has three top-15 finishes this season including a t-4th finish at the Tiger Invitational. Solomon, fresh off a t-17th finish at the Bandon Dunes Championship, is averaging 72.28. The sophomore from Dublin, Calif., has four top-20 finishes this season.

Jovan Rebula, a freshman from George, South Africa, is averaging 71.90, good for third on the team. He has a pair of top-10 finishes and earned SEC Men's Freshman Golfer of the Week honors after a t-8th finish at the Tiger Invitational.

Seniors Will Long (71.42) and Matt Gilchrest (72.42) are looking to add a couple of post-season awards to their impressive career accomplishments. Long is a member of the Ben Hogan Award watch list while Gilchrest was recently named a finalist for the Byron Nelson Award.
