AUBURN, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" The No. 7 Auburn softball team is set to welcome Missouri to Jane B. Moore Field for a three-game series, April 14-16. The trio of contests is part of an eight-game homestand for the Tigers.

Friday and Saturday's first pitches are scheduled for 6 p.m. Both duels are available to stream on SEC Network+. Sunday's series finale is set to broadcast on ESPN with Beth Mowins and Michele Smith on the call, with action slated to begin at 2 p.m.

All three duels this weekend are also available on local radio at 95.9 FM and on the official Auburn app. Brad Law and Brit Bowen will share duties in the booth for the SEC series.

Auburn recently took a 6-3 decision from Georgia State Wednesday evening. Alyssa Rivera and Carlee Wallace combined for four hits and five RBI, while tallying a pair of extra-base knocks. Makayla Martin improved her record to 15-4 with a complete game in the circle.

The Tigers are off to their third-best start to a season in program history. Through 40 games, Auburn is 34-6. The 2015 and 2016 squads own the top mark through the opening 40 games of the slate with records of 36-4.

Following their SEC series, the Tigers wrap up their homestand with a non-conference tilt against Kennesaw State. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. at Jane B. Moore Field.

Player to Watch: Kendall Veach

Sophomore Kendall Veach has provided the pop in the lineup thus far this season for the Tigers. The Selma, Ala. native has belted a team-best 10 home runs, including three in SEC play, seven doubles and two triples to round out a .614 slugging percentage. Veach has 10 extra-base hits inside the friendly confines of Jane B. Moore Field and has reached base at a .388 clip in home contests in 2017.

Inside the Series: Mizzou

The two Tigers have battled 10 times with the series split at 5-5. Missouri opened the series by taking four of the first six meetings; however, Auburn has won three of the last four. Auburn has outscored Missouri 56-50, dating back to first duel in 2003. Seven of the 10 matchups have been within two runs, including four that has been decided by just one run.

In the last 10 games, Auburn has touted a 7-3 record and has outscored the opposition 44-38. The Tigers have notched 21 extra-base hits, including 11 doubles, four triples and six home runs. Kendall Veach and Carlee Wallace pace the club with five each. Alyssa Rivera leads the team with a .500 average.

In the circle, Kaylee Carlson has gone 5-1 with one complete-game shutout. She's tallied 25 strikeouts in that span. Makayla Martin has also racked up a pair of wins.

Start It Up

Carlee Wallace has embraced her new role as the primary leadoff hitter for the Tigers this season. Since her shift to the top of the lineup, the junior has led the team with a slash line of .400/.508/.737 while scoring 26 runs. The Alpine, Calif. product has amassed a team-high 38 hits, including 13 doubles, two triples and five home runs to go along with 32 RBI. Wallace has hit a scalding .617 when leading off an inning and successfully advanced runners at a .727 clip in 2017.

Wallace has also been one of the toughest outs in all of the NCAA. She has only four strikeouts as a leadoff hitter this season, which is the second-lowest in the country.
