AUBURN, Ala. - Auburn men's tennis (13-12, 3-7 SEC) finishes its regular season on the road with a pair of SEC matches.
The Tigers play at No. 22 South Carolina (18-5, 7-3 SEC) Friday at 4 p.m. CT in a match at the Carolina Tennis Center.
Sunday, the Tigers go to No. 16 Florida (14-8, 7-3 SEC) for a noon CT match at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex.
"They're going to be two tough matches to end the regular season, and even tougher playing away from home," Auburn coach Bobby Reynolds said. "Both are highly ranked. The guys know what we have to do going forward; we need to find somebody to step up and win each match, and it doesn't always have to be the same guy. I hope we go out this weekend and don't leave anything behind."
Auburn's tentative lineup for the weekend: Singles: Max Hinnisdaels, Carles Sarrio, Conner Huertas del Pino, Olle Thestrup, Edward Nguyen and Dante Saleh; Doubles: Hinnisdaels/Huertas del Pino, Nguyen/Brandon Laubser, Saleh/Thestrup.
The Tigers suffered a 4-1 loss to South Carolina in February at the Blue-Gray Classic in Montgomery. This will be their first meeting with Florida this season.
In the latest Oracle/ITA national rankings, Hinnisdaels and Huertas del Pino are No. 28 in doubles, while Hinnisdaels has moved up to No. 50 in singles.
This road swing concludes the regular season for Auburn. The SEC tournament is April 26-30 at Tennessee.
