Last Home Weekend For Men's Tennis Hosting LSU, Texas A&M

AUBURN, Ala. - No. 50 Auburn closes the home portion of its schedule this weekend with a pair of important SEC men's tennis matches at the Yarbrough Tennis Center.

The Tigers (12-10, 3-5 SEC) host LSU (8-14, 2-7) Friday in a 3 p.m. match, and Auburn entertains No. 7 Texas A&M (16-4, 9-0) Sunday at noon. Sunday's match will be Senior Day, as Max Hinnisdaels, Conner Huertas del Pino and Dante Saleh are honored before the match.

"LSU is a team we're right there with, so we have to ready to play on Friday," Auburn coach Bobby Reynolds said. "Texas A&M is in the Top 10 and at the top of the SEC, and they have a very veteran team. So we just go out there and go for it. Go hit and play tennis and you never know what can happen. Sunday is our Senior Day, so I hope we get a nice crowd to honor Dante, Max and Conner and also help us with some momentum against Texas A&M."

Auburn's tentative lineup for the weekend shows Max Hinnisdaels, Carles Sarrio, Conner Huertas del Pino, Olle Thestrup, Edward Nguyen, and Dante Saleh in singles and Hinnisdaels/Huertas del Pino, Nguyen/Brandon Laubser and Thestrup/Saleh in doubles.

In the latest Oracle/ITA rankings, Hinnisdaels and Huertas del Pino are No. 15 nationally in doubles, and Hinnisdaels is ranked No. 62 nationally in singles.

Auburn will honor its three seniors before Sunday's match. Dante Saleh is a four-year letterman from Newport Beach, Calif., who has posted 86 wins during his career, 58 in singles and 28 in doubles. Max Hinnisdaels, from Rode, Belgium, is a former ITA Southern Region champion, and has won 105 matches during three seasons at Auburn, 63 in singles and 42 in doubles. Conner Huertas del Pino is a two-year letterman from Lima, Peru, with 65 wins during his Auburn career, 30 in singles and 35 in doubles.

Fans will receive a variety of giveaways, including t-shirts, koozies and sunglasses. All home matches are at the Yarbrough Tennis Center (771 Yarbrough Farms Blvd., Auburn) and admission is free.
