ATHENS, Ga. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" Auburn women's golf earned a tie with Arkansas and a win over Daytona State in match play Saturday at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic.

The Tigers, ranked No. 39 by Golfweek and No. 40 by Golfstat, tied No. 14/16 Arkansas 2.5-2.5, but the Razorbacks advanced to the semifinals on a tiebreaker. Auburn then faced top-ranked junior college program Daytona State in a consolation match, earning a 3-2 victory in the afternoon.

Freshman Kayley Marschke won both of her matches on the day with holes to spare. She defeated Arkansas' Summar Roachell, 3 and 1, in the morning match, then came back in the afternoon to earn a 3 and 1 win over DSC's Kendall Johnson.

Junior Michaela Owen and sophomore Mai Dechathipat both picked up a win and a halve. Owen defeated Arkansas' Cara Gorlei, 2 and 1, then halved her match with DSC's Claire Becker when her opponent made a birdie at the final hole to erase a 1-up lead.
