AUBURN, Ala. - Eleven of Auburn's 21 Athletics teams posted a perfect 1000 Academic Progress Rate score for the 2015-16 scoring period, according to the NCAA APR scores released Wednesday.
Auburn's 21 sports safely scored within the four-year multi-year Academic Progress Rate guidelines, with 86 percent of the programs posting a 970 or better.
Women's cross country, women's golf, gymnastics and women's tennis were awarded public recognition by the NCAA last week for scoring 1,000 over the last four years. They were joined in the last scoring period with perfect scores by men's golf, men's tennis, equestrian, soccer, women's indoor and outdoor track and volleyball.
"To see our student-athletes achieving academically at a consistently high level is most gratifying," Director of Athletics Jay Jacobs said. "It's a testament to their desire to excel in all areas. These outstanding APR scores signify again Auburn University's commitment to be the best school for the best athletes."
