Auburn, Ala. - Auburn junior centerfielder Jonah Todd was named to the All-SEC second team and SEC All-Defensive team the conference office announced Monday. The All-SEC awards were voted on by the conference's 14 head coaches.
"Jonah's story, from being a true walk-on, to becoming an All-SEC player in his first year at Auburn, is truly amazing," Auburn head coach Butch Thompson said. "He's been our catalyst all season, providing an impact with his speed, defense, arm and most importantly his bat. It is a great accomplishment for a great player. I'm glad Jonah chose to attend Auburn."
Todd leads Auburn with a .385 batting average, good for second in the league with a team-best 51 runs and 82 hits. The Birmingport, Ala., native has 13 doubles with four triples and 33 runs batted in.
