Auburn's Michaud, Dikosavljevic set for NCAA Championships

AUBURN, Ala. -- Juniors Andie Dikosavljevic and Alizee Michaud are set to kick off the NCAA Singles Championships on Wednesday, May 24 in Athens, Ga. Michaud will face off against Texas Tech's Gabriela Talaba at 10:30 a.m. CT, while Dikosavljevic will face Gabby Smith of USC at 12:30.

With 57 combined wins this season (33 singles, 24 doubles), Michaud is now tied for the all-time singles season record in Auburn history. She is third all-time in single season victories with 33.

This will mark the second time that No. 17 Michaud and No. 9 Talaba have faced off this season. Michaud defeated Talaba in the Blue Gray National Tennis Classic Championship match, 2-6, 6-3, 6-2. Talaba took the latest matchup in the NCAA Women's Tennis Team Championships by a score of 4-6, 6-2, 6-0.

No. 29 Dikosavljevic will face No. 25 Smith for the second time this season. Smith took the first matchup in the second round of the ITA Kickoff, 2-6, 6-2, 6-1. The Australia native currently stands at 11th on Auburn's career singles wins list with 65.

No. 14 doubles duo Michaud and Taylor Russo will open up the NCAA Doubles Championships on Thursday against No. 19 Donika Bashota and Olaya Garrido-Rivas of TCU.

All matches will be played on the campus of the University of Georgia, at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex. Live results and video will be available at georgiadogs.com.
