Auburn women's tennis completes signing class

AUBURN, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" Auburn women's tennis completed its 2017 signing class with the addition of Newton Square, Pa. native, Jaeda Daniel, head coach Lauren Spencer announced Wednesday.

"We are very excited to add such a decorated player to our lineup next season," Auburn head coach Lauren Spencer said. "We believe Jaeda will make an immediate impact in both singles and doubles from the moment she gets on campus. Not only is she a great player, but her character and maturity will stand out amongst this young team. We are excited for her to be an Auburn Tiger."

Daniel comes to Auburn as one of the top junior players in the country, with a WTA Professional Career high ranking of 615. She has maintained a top-20 junior ranking throughout her career and has ranked as high as eighth in the country.

The Newton Square, Pa. native has also been involved in her community as a DTLB Ambassador, working with inner city youth to improve their tennis skills.

Daniel joins Birmingham native Madeline Meredith, who is currently ranked as the No. 9 recruit in the nation and the top recruit in Alabama by TennisRecruiting.net. Daniel has a 11.19 universal tennis rating, while Meredith holds a 10.58 rating.
