2017-18 Schedule

AUBURN, Ala. -- The Auburn equestrian team is set to face another challenging schedule in 2017-18, head coach Greg Williams announced Monday.

"In addition to the usually tough SEC schedule, the most interesting matchup this year is the home and away meets with Baylor," Williams said. "We also finish the regular season in the spring with two great home meets. Just thinking about the schedule makes me want to get the team back here in Auburn and get ready to compete."

After the annual Orange & Blue Scrimmage (Sept. 15), the Tigers take to the road to start the season with a meet at UT-Martin, Sept. 22. Auburn returns to The Plains for three-straight meets, beginning with back-to-back exhibitions vs. Alabama (Sept. 29) and Ole Miss (Oct. 6). Both contests will begin at 3 p.m. CT at the Auburn University Horse Center. The squad then faces Big 12 regular season champion Baylor, Oct. 21, at 10 a.m. CT in Auburn.

The first half of SEC competition begins on the road as the Tigers take on the 2017 NCEA champion Texas A&M Aggies, Nov. 3, in College Station. The reigning SEC champion Georgia comes to The Plains, Nov. 10, and the two rivals will square off at 3 p.m. CT. AU closes out the first half of the season away from Auburn, taking on South Carolina, Nov. 17.

The 2018 portion kicks off with four-straight meets on the road, beginning with an exhibition contest at Alabama (Jan. 19). The Tigers follow with a busy weekend against the Big 12, traveling to Baylor (Feb. 1) and to Oklahoma State (Feb. 3). The team's final road trip of the regular season will be at Georgia, Feb. 10.

Auburn's remaining meets will all be held at the AU Horse Center, starting with a tough test vs. Texas A&M, Feb. 17, at 1 p.m. CT. The final SEC regular season matchup will take place Feb. 24 as the Tigers and the Gamecocks face off at 1 p.m. CT.

AU will welcome SMU to The Plains for the first time since January 2015, hosting the Mustangs at 1 p.m. CT, March 3. The regular season finale and Senior Day will be held March 10 with the Tigers hosting Fresno State at 1 p.m. CT. The Bulldogs' visit to the AU Horse Center will be the first since 2013.

The 2018 SEC Championship is set for March 30-31 in Blythewood, S.C., and will be hosted by South Carolina. The 2018 NCEA Championship will be held once again at the Extraco Events Center in Waco, Texas, April 19-21.
