Former Auburn swimmer Ashley Neidigh and current swimmer Aly Tetzloff both swam in consolation finals as action continued at the USA Swimming Phillips 66 National Championships in Indianapolis on Thursday.
Neidigh, who finished her Auburn career this past spring, finished 15th in the 400 IM with a time of 4:48.53 after qualifying 12th in 4:47.25.
Tetzloff, who was a sixth-place finisher in the 50 fly on Wednesday, finished 11th in the 100 fly on Thursday, shaving .15 seconds off her prelims time to finish in 59.48.
Bailey Nero had qualified for the C Final of the 100 fly with a 59.75 but scratched the finals swim.
Zoe Thatcher finished 30th in the 400 IM (4:52.63) while Tommy Brewer (29.54) and Bryar Long (29.86) finished 45th and 48th, respectively, in the 50 breaststroke.
The meet continues on Friday with the 400 freestyle, 100 breaststroke and 100 backstroke.
Held at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Ind., the 2017 Phillips 66 National Championships and World Championship Trials will serve as the selection event for the USA National Teams competing at the 2017 FINA World Championships, the 2017 World University Games and the 2017 FINA World Junior Championships.
