AUBURN, Ala. -- Nine Auburn track and field athletes earned 2016-17 All-Academic honors, the USTFCCCA announced Friday.
Wesley Curles and Mark Rubalcaba are among the 516 men that earned the honor while Sara Almen, Brianna Heilsnis, Veronica Eder, Brenda Kigen, Jonielle Smith, Jessica Johnson and Jenae Ambrose represent seven of the 752 women.
To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and meet one of the following requirements:
- For the indoor season, a student-athlete must have finished the regular season ranked in the national top 96 in an individual event or ranked in the national top 48 (collective listing) in a relay event on the official NCAA POP list provided by TFRRS.org.
- For the outdoor season, a student-athlete must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Championships (including preliminary rounds).
The 2017 cross country season begins the first weekend of September.
