AUBURN, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" Two Auburn women's golfers were named All-American Scholars by the Women's Golf Coaches Association, the organization announced this week.
Junior Kelli Murphy and sophomore Mai Dechathipat were among the 952 collegiate women's golfers across all divisions to receive the honor. Recipients must carry a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50.
Murphy earned her third selection to the team in three seasons. She was also named to the SEC Community Service Team earlier this season. Murphy played in all 12 team events and tied for second on the team with a 74.09 scoring average.
Dechathipat was a first-time selection to the team. She played in 10 events during the 2016-17 season, earning a pair of top-20 finishes.
This marks the 10th consecutive season for Auburn to have at least one student-athlete selected to the team and the first time since 2009 to have two players earn the honor.
