AUBURN, Ala. -- After a successful opening match of the season, the No. 10 Auburn soccer team is set to tangle with Lipscomb Sunday evening. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. CT at the Auburn Soccer Complex.
The Tigers defeated South Alabama to begin the 2017 campaign on Friday, 3-0. Ellie Leek, Courtney Schell and Taylor Troutman netted goals in the 90-minute tilt. Alyssa Malonson and Leek added two assists, while Bri Folds and Rocio Sanders chimed in an assist as well.
Sarah Le Beau went the distance in goal and earned her first shutout of the season.
Auburn and Lipscomb will square off for the first time in series history. The Tigers are 2-0-0 against teams currently in the Atlantic Sun conference, defeating Florida Gulf Coast and Stetson in their lone duels.
Following its fixture on Sunday, Auburn hits the road for the first time in 2017 when it travels to No. 13 Clemson, Aug. 25. The ball is set to get rolling at 6:30 p.m. CT.
