2018 Auburn Gymnastics Schedule

AUBURN, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" The Auburn gymnastics team and head coach Jeff Graba announced the 2018 schedule Tuesday.

"I'm very excited about the 2018 schedule," Graba said. "We pride ourselves in having one of the toughest schedules in the country every year. This year will be no exception. I believe that we need to test ourselves against the very best in order to prepare ourselves for the grueling postseason of NCAA gymnastics."

The Tigers are set to host five meets in Auburn Arena, including four against Southeastern Conference foes. The squad has enjoyed success at home on The Plains, finishing among the Top 8 in the country in attendance over the past four seasons and having five sellouts (7,424).

"The home schedule is packed with tough teams and this provides exciting matchups for our fans," Graba said. "With four SEC teams, all who finished in the Top 20 last year, coming to the plains along with Big 10 power Rutgers, our fans are in for a treat. We will need all the home fan support we can get this year with these powerhouses coming to Auburn Arena!"

Auburn opens the season on the road, traveling to Arizona for a dual meet vs. Arizona State, Jan. 5. The team's home opener follows as the squad welcomes Missouri to Auburn Arena, Jan. 12, before heading to conference rival Georgia for a big meet, Jan. 19. AU caps January with another home SEC contest, hosting Kentucky on Friday, Jan. 26.

February is a busy month for the Tigers with five meets in four weeks. The Tigers continue their homestand as the Florida Gators are slated to come to The Plains, Feb. 2. A long road weekend follows with a Friday night meet at Arkansas (Feb. 9) and a Sunday afternoon contest at Texas Woman's University (Feb. 11).

Auburn's final two home meets come at the end of February with the first vs. Rutgers in a non-conference matchup, Feb. 16. Highlighting the year's home schedule is the last one of the season as the Tigers welcome Alabama to Auburn Arena, Feb. 23.

A pair of road meets cap the regular season with the first at national runner-up and SEC champion LSU, March 2. Auburn then heads to Huntsville, Ala., for the Fourth Annual Elevate the Stage meet. The Tigers and the Crimson Tide are set to square off in the neutral, non-conference contest, March 9, in the Von Braun Center.

Postseason action begins with the 2018 SEC Championship, taking place in St. Louis, Mo., March 24. The NCAA Regional Championship will be held at one of six different locations (April 7) and the 2018 NCAA National Championship will be in St. Louis from April 20-21. Both SECs and nationals will be hosted in Chaifetz Arena.
