AUBURN, Ala. - With just over a week of training sessions in the books, the Auburn soccer team is set to face Georgia in an exhibition Thursday night. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m. CT at the Turner Soccer Complex in Athens, Ga.

The Tigers have seen a plethora of success against the Bulldogs on the road, having won the last four duels in Georgia. Though this contest will not officially count towards the record of either team, Auburn is ready to play against an opponent wearing something other than orange and blue.

"It's always nice to get out and go against somebody other than yourselves," said head coach Karen Hoppa. "Our team has put in the work and they are hungry. I love that because every day we are getting everything out of them."

The Tigers will field 29 players on the 2017 roster, consisting of six seniors, four juniors, seven sophomores and 12 freshmen.

"I'm excited to get back out on to the field," said junior goalkeeper Sarah Le Beau. "Because it is the first exhibition, it might take a while to calm the nerves and get into the match, but after that, I think we will be just fine."

Following Auburn's duel with Georgia, the Tigers close out the preseason with their final exhibition of the year against Samford Saturday night at the Auburn Soccer Complex. The ball is set to begin rolling at 7 p.m. CT.
