Auburn Women's Tennis with five qualifiers for All-American Championships

AUBURN, Ala. - Auburn women's tennis has five representatives in the official selections for the 2017 Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships, hosted by Riviera Tennis Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif. for the 34th consecutive year. It marks the sixth-straight year that the Tigers have had a representative in the prestigious tournament.

"We are excited to have five players attend such a prestigious tournament," head coach Lauren Spencer said. "It will be a great way for our athletes to get the season started going against some of the toughest competition in the country."

Senior Alizee Michaud, ranked No. 9 in the preseason ITA rankings, will compete in the main draw singles bracket and will pair with No. 60 Taylor Russo in the main draw doubles bracket.

Russo, a sophomore from Deerfield Beach, Fla., will also appear in the qualifying singles bracket.

Junior No. 94 Alannah Griffin and freshman Jaeda Daniel will begin in pre-qualifying singles. Daniel will also pair with fellow freshman Madeline Meredith in the qualifying doubles bracket.

Pre-qualifying matches begin Sept. 30, with qualifying matches spanning Oct. 3rd and 4th. The main draw runs from Oct. 5-8.
