AUBURN, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" Mark your calendars, Auburn fans. The SEC released the team's 2018 schedule Tuesday, and there are plenty of noteworthy games on the slate.
Auburn opens the season on Sept. 1 in the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta where the Tigers will face Washington in the 2018 Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game. The Huskies were one of four teams to make the College Football Playoff last year.
After that, Auburn returns home to Jordan-Hare Stadium for four straight games against Alabama State, LSU, Arkansas and Southern Miss. Its first true road game won't be until Oct. 6 when the team travels to Starkville to take on Mississippi State.
Other highlights on the schedule include a visit from Tennessee on Oct. 13 ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" it will be the first meeting between the two sides since 2013 ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" as well as road trips to Georgia (Nov. 10) and Alabama (Nov. 24) to close out conference play.
The lone open date on the schedule will be Oct. 27.
