AUBURN, Ala. -- Auburn fans might have to wake up a little earlier on Saturday, Oct. 7.
The SEC announced Monday that the Auburn-Ole Miss game will kick off at 11 a.m. CT inside Jordan-Hare Stadium. The game will be televised on either ESPN, ESPN2 or SEC Network with a final decision on the network to come after this weekend's games.
This will be the first early kickoff for Auburn this season. Last year, the Tigers played two early games and won both -- a 38-14 dismantling of Mississippi State and a 23-16 victory at home against Vanderbilt.
Auburn will look to make it two in a row against the Rebels after winning 40-29 at their place a year ago. Running backs Kamryn Pettway and Kerryon Johnson combined for 278 yards and three touchdowns on the ground in that game, but the key play came in the fourth quarter when Joshua Holsey intercepted Chad Kelly and returned it 47 yards.
The Tigers lead the all-time series against Ole Miss, 30-11.
This Saturday, Auburn looks to go 2-0 in SEC play as it hosts Mississippi State at 5 p.m. CT. The game will be televised on ESPN.
