DALLAS - Freshmen Brandon Mancheno and Wells Padgett continue their torrid golf as No. 13 Auburn moved into a tie for the lead with No. 10 Florida at 8-under after the Trinity Forest Invitational second round at the par 71, 7,302-yard Trinity Forest Golf Club on Monday.

After both Tigers were 3-under in the first round, Mancheno fired another 68 and is tied for the individual lead at 6-under with Southern California's Justin Suh. The Jacksonville, Fla., native notched four birdies at Nos. 1, 10, 11 and 14, making birdie on the same three back nine holes in both rounds.

Padgett is tied for third at 4-under after a 1-under 70 with birdies on Nos. 5, 6, 10 and 14.

Auburn, which entered the round in third and three shots out of first, had the second lowest round of the day at 2-under 282 to move into a tie for the lead with Florida, which shot a 1-over 285.

"The guys had another impressive day as the course was playing tough with the wind, dry conditions and pins that were difficult to attack," said Auburn head coach Nick Clinard. "Brandon and Wells each had under par rounds for the second straight day while the other guys were solid."

North Texas is in third at 4-under followed by No. 8 Southern California (-2), No. 9 Oregon (-1), No. 6 Texas (E), No. 22 Texas Tech (E), No. 17 Clemson (+7), Iowa (+8), host SMU (+10), Ball State (+13), Kansas State (+18) and No. 24 Pepperdine (+21).

Junior Jacob Solomon is tied for 15th after a pair of even par 71s while sophomore Jovan Rebula is tied for 26th at 2-over and junior Trace Crowe in a tie for 47th at 4-over. Both Rebula and Crowe had 73s.

Freshman Andrew Kozan, who is playing as an individual, is tied for 69th at 11-over after a second round 73.

Auburn tees off the final round on Tuesday at 9:20 am CT in the lead group with Florida and North Texas off No. 1.
