AUBURN, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" Auburn quarterback Jarrett Stidham was added to the Manning Award Watch List on Thursday. The award, which was created by the Allstate Sugar Bowl in honor of the accomplishments of Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning, will be awarded in January after the bowl games have been played.
Playing in his first season at Auburn, Stidham is 99 of 139 with 1,345 yards passing, seven touchdowns and just two interceptions through the first six games. His 71.2 completion percentage currently leads all quarterbacks in the SEC and ranks No. 5 nationally.
In three SEC games this year, Stidham has completed 40 of his 54 passes for 717 yards and five touchdowns and has a pass efficiency rating of 216.16.
Former Auburn quarterback Cam Newton won the Manning Award in 2010.
