WINDERMERE, Fla. - No. 6 Auburn men's golf is in 10th at the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational following Sunday's 293 opening round at the par-72, 7,544-yard Isleworth Country Club.
Sophomore Jovan Rebula and freshmen Brandon Mancheno and Wells Padgett are part of an 11-way tie for 36th at 1-over 73. Juniors Jacob Solomon and Trace Crowe are just a shot back at 2-over 74 in a tie for 47th.
Illinois leads the field at 9-under 279 followed by No. 10 Florida (282), No. 13 Texas Tech (286), No. 21 California (287), No. 12 LSU (289), North Florida (290), No. 9 Vanderbilt (291), Purdue (291), Arizona (292) and Auburn.
No. 20 North Carolina and UAB are tied for 11th at 6-over 294 followed by North Texas (295), Augusta (295), West Virginia (296), Arizona State (297) and host-UCF (297).
