Tavistock Day 2 Results

WINDERMERE, Fla. - No. 6 Auburn men's golf had a big day at the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational, carding a round-best 2-under 286 Monday at the Isleworth Country Club to climb five spots from 10th to fifth in the team standings. Three individuals carded rounds at par or better led by Jovan Rebula's 2-under 70.

Rebula, a native of George, South Africa, climbed 20 spots in the round to tie for 16th at 1-under 73-70-143, and is just four shots out of second. The sophomore carded five birdies in the round, four of which coming on the back nine on Nos. 13, 15, 16 and 17.

Freshman Brandon Mancheno is just a shot back in a tie for 20th at even-par 73-71-144. The Jacksonville, Fla. product also tallied five birdies for the day on Nos. 1, 5, 7, 12 and 17. Fellow freshman Wells Padgett is t-24th at 1-over 73-72-145.

Junior Jacob Solomon (74-73-147) climbed 13 spots to t-34th at 3-over.

Auburn (293-286-579) cut the gap to the top of the leaderboard and now trails leader Illinois (565) by 14 strokes. The Fighting Illini's Dylan Meyer continues to lead the field at 11-under 67-66-133.

The Tigers will pair with No. 9 Vanderbilt and North Florida in tomorrow's final round, and will tee off No. 1 at 7:50 am CT. Live stats will be available at Golfstat.com.
