AUBURN, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" No. 11 Auburn men's golf is set to open play at the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate Oct. 9-10 held at the par-70, 7,204-yard Old Overton Club in Vestavia Hills, Ala.

The Tigers are one of four ranked teams in the 12-team field that includes host-No. 4 Alabama, No. 7 Baylor and No. 16 Arkansas. The remaining field consists of Mississippi State, UNLV, Michigan, UAB, BYU, Samford, Charlotte and South Alabama.

"We are looking forward to defending our title at Old Overton," head coach Nick Clinard said. "The golf course is fantastic and we've had much success there over the years. We have a talented group of young men competing and it will be a fun challenge."

Auburn's lineup remains the same after a pair of top-3 finishes in the first two events of the fall. Juniors Trace Crowe and Jacob Solomon, sophomore Jovan Rebula, and freshmen Brandon Mancheno and Wells Padgett will play the course as the Tigers' five.

Mancheno, a native of Jacksonville, Fla., is fresh off a t-3rd finish at the Trinity Forest Invitational in Dallas where he led Auburn to a t-2nd finish.

Last year at the Jerry Pate National, the then-second ranked Tigers held off UNLV to win the event with a final score of 284-274-282-840 as three players finished in the top 10.

Play begins with 36 holes on Monday followed by 18 holes on Tuesday. For live stats, follow along at http://results.golfstat.com//public/leaderboards/gsnav.cfm?pg=participants&tid=13919.
