Last Time Out

ÃÆ'¢Ãƒ¢'¬ºÃƒÆ'¢Ãƒ¢'¬º Auburn saw its 2016-17 season come to a close on St. Patrick's Day as the 11th-seeded Tigers fell to sixth-seeded North Carolina State 62-48 in the first round of the 2017 NCAA Tournament in Austin, Texas.
ÃÆ'¢Ãƒ¢'¬ºÃƒÆ'¢Ãƒ¢'¬º Auburn found itself in a big early hole, trailing by 17 at halftime and as many as 27 late in the game, but fought back to cut the final margin to 14 points with a 25-point outburst in the fourth quarter. However, a combined 12 points in the second and third quarters were too much for the Tigers to overcome.
ÃÆ'¢Ãƒ¢'¬ºÃƒÆ'¢Ãƒ¢'¬º It was Auburn's 20th appearance in the NCAA Tournament and the second straight for coach Terri Williams-Flournoy. Coach Flo has taken her teams to the postseason in eight of her last nine seasons of coaching.
