AUBURN, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" The Auburn women's basketball team is proud to announce several enhancements to the gameday experience at Auburn Arena, beginning with Thursday's home opener vs. North Carolina A&T. This season Auburn has made improvements in concessions, game presentation and parking, among others.
Some of the enhancements and updates for 2017-18 women's basketball are below:
Parking:
--The arena parking lot will close three hours prior to tip for each home game and will be accessible only for game ticket holders. Additional parking is available in the east Coliseum lot and the deck next to Plainsman Park.
Concessions:
--Chick-fil-A will be open for all regular-season home games (except Sundays).
--Ben's Pretzels (behind section 116) will be open for all SEC home games.
--New menu items will be available at the Aubie Chow (chili cheese fries, mozzarella sticks), Hall of Honor (footlong bratwurst w/ peppers & onions, footlong corndog) and Half-Court CafÃÆ'Æ'© (buffalo wings; giant tenderloin sandwich) concession stands.
Gameday/Fan Experience:
--Fan guides and rosters for both teams will be available for $1.00 at each game
--"Tees for Defense" ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" t-shirts will be tossed into the crowd after every Auburn steal, so get loud when the Tigers are on defense!
-- Auburn's home opener vs. North Carolina A&T on Nov. 16 will be Military Appreciation Night ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" all active/veteran/retired military personnel and their families will receive free admission with appropriate ID.
-- Auburn's game on Saturday, Dec. 9 will be part of a doubleheader with the men's basketball team. Auburn's men will face UAB at 3:30 p.m. and the women host Southern at 6:30 p.m. Fans with tickets for the men's game will be allowed to stay for the women's game at no additional charge.
Arena:
--New banners highlighting the Tigers' NCAA Tournament and Final Four appearances and Auburn's nine SEC Championships have been hung from the rafters.
--Enhanced stats have been added to the center-hung video board. A display of players' points, rebounds and fouls are now up-to-the-second.
