AUBURN, Ala. -- It's official. College GameDay is coming to Auburn for the Iron Bowl.

ESPN made the announcement late Saturday night, though it shouldn't have come as much of a surprise. The winner of next week's game featuring No. 6 Auburn (9-2, 6-1) and No. 1 Alabama (11-0, 7-0) will go to Atlanta and represent the SEC West in the conference championship game. They will also be in the driver's seat for a spot in the College Football Playoff.

The popular pre-game show, which airs live from 8-11 a.m. CT on ESPN, is hosted by Rece Davis and includes Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, David Pollack and Maria Taylor.

The last time they visited Auburn was for the 2013 Iron Bowl when Chris Davis returned a field-goal 109 yards as time expired to lead the Tigers past Alabama in what turned out to be one of the most memorable games in college football history.

Auburn is 5-3 all-time when GameDay has been on campus.
