CHICAGO - Auburn soccer sophomore forward Bri Folds has been invited to the U.S. Under-20 Women's National Team (WNT) Training Camp from Nov. 16-23 in Sunrise, Fla.
Folds is a late addition to the team as a result of Auburn's NCAA Tournament Second Round appearance and is one of a select number of college and youth club players to receive the invitation from U-20 WNT head coach Jitka Klimkova.
"We are very excited for Bri to be invited to national camp," said Auburn head coach Karen Hoppa. "She was playing her best soccer at the end of our season, and we are so proud that she now has the opportunity to represent the U.S."
The training camp is the first of three events for the U-20 WNT this fall and winter before the 2018 CONCACAF Women's U-20 Championship is contested in Trinidad & Tobago from Jan. 18-28, where the U.S. will have the opportunity to qualify for the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in France.
Folds capped off her sophomore season with Auburn soccer tied for the team lead with six assists. She also ranked second on the team in points (14) and tied for second in goals (four). After scoring the game-winner in the Tigers' NCAA Tournament First Round win against Hofstra, the Lakeland, Fla., native was selected to the Top Drawer Soccer National Team of the Week.
