Parking Timeline/Information
Beginning Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 8 a.m., Thach Avenue will be closed to all thru traffic through the end of the game Saturday night. As campus opens to tailgating on Friday, Nov. 24 at 6 a.m., tailgating dropoff points will be facilitated at College St & W Thach Ave and Mell St & W Thach Ave until 10 p.m.
South Mell Street parking and adjoining lots for the Iron Bowl will be monitored beginning Friday, Nov. 24. Parking behind the Chemistry Building, Swingle Hall, Upchurch Hall and Funchess Hall is available until the lots are full. Parking in service drives is not allowed. Service drives will have security to keep out cars due to emergency vehicle traffic.
For those wishing to park in the available portion of Mell St, please enter Roosevelt Drive. This will be the only access point to the Mell St Corridor for public parking this weekend.
Wednesday, Nov. 22
2 p.m. -- RV Parking opens at various locations
Friday, Nov. 24
6 a.m. -- Campus opens for tailgating (including Mell St Corridor)
Designated campus buildings will be open for restroom usage for those attending ESPN College GameDay. For those locations, please consult the AU Gameday Map.
No unauthorized soliciting, advertising, business/organizational tabling or other on-site commercial presence is permitted on campus or near any College GameDay set-up locations at any time.

Tailgating/Camping Policy
- Fans are welcome to stay overnight, whether in line for the Pit or to claim general space, for College GameDay.
- No staking or roping off of general green space is allowed in ESPN-controlled areas.
- No tents, coolers, or other camping equipment are allowed in ESPN-controlled areas.
- ESPN or Auburn University personnel reserves the right to relocate or remove any prohibited camping equipment or tailgating setup at any time deemed to violate rules or interfere with the College GameDay broadcast. This includes anything set up on Friday or Saturday morning.
- For fans waiting in line for the Pit, no personal belongings may be left behind.
- For fans in general space outside of the Pit, normal Auburn University tailgating rules apply.
The Pit Info
Admission criteria
- Fans wishing to gain entrance to the Pit may begin to line up at 12 a.m. Saturday.
- The Pit will open at 5 a.m. before ESPN filming begins.
Pit Rules
- Fans may spend the night in line for the Pit, but must adhere to the camping policy above.
- By entering the Pit, fans are agreeing to allow ESPN to use captured media such as video or images without compensation in their broadcast and marketing of their show.
- No food or drinks are allowed in the Pit. Please plan to dispose of them before entering.
- No bags are allowed in the Pit. This includes but is not exclusive to backpacks, book bags or purses.
- No markers, pens, pencils or dry erase boards.
- Signs in the Pit may not be attached to poles, sticks or other extensions.
- Signs are subject to approval by ESPN and Auburn University personnel and those attempting to enter the Pit may be denied entry should their sign be deemed inappropriate. The individual must discard the sign at their own risk.
- All persons entering the pit are assuming risk and are subject to search or removal by security personnel.
Signs
- Fans may bring their own signs.
- No derogatory, vulgar, or political messages are allowed. Signs may be removed at the discretion of ESPN or Auburn University personnel.
- No sponsored signs or any references to .com's or other websites.
- While signs with poles, sticks, or other extensions are permitted behind the GameDay set, those extensions will NOT be allowed in Jordan-Hare Stadium
