Auburn women's golf adds two in early signing period

AUBURN, Ala. -- Two highly-rated and talented newcomers will join the Auburn women's golf program after signing National Letters of Intent, head coach Melissa Luellen announced Thursday.

Auburn will welcome Chandler Rosholt (Austin, Texas) and Brooke Sansom (Pike Road, Ala.) to the Plains for the 2018-19 season.

Sansom will enroll at Auburn in January and redshirt during the 2018 spring semester while attending classes and practicing with the team. Rosholt will join the Tigers for the 2018 fall semester. In addition, Julie McCarthy, who signed with Auburn last fall, is set to enroll in January and compete for the Tigers beginning with the 2018 spring semester.

Auburn's spring season begins in February at the UCF Challenge in Orlando. Highlighting the Tigers' spring slate is the inaugural Evans Derby Experience, which will be played March 18-20 at the Auburn University Club.

Coach Luellen on Brooke: "Brooke Sansom is one of the finest players to come out of Alabama and will have a significant impact on our program. She verbally committed a few years ago, and she is excited to officially be an Auburn Tiger. Brooke will attend classes, work out and practice with the team this spring and will begin her eligibility in the fall of 2018. I feel the semester to get acclimated to the pace of college and the opportunity to practice at the outstanding Jack Key Golf Facility and the great courses in Auburn will be great preparation for Brooke to start strong next year."
