AUBURN, Ala. - Head coach Mickey Dean and the Auburn softball program have released the upcoming schedule for the 2018 season. The Tigers are slated to play 56 regular season games, including 33 at Jane B. Moore Field.

"We're very excited for our non-conference schedule and our conference slate," head coach Mickey Dean said. "It's going to be fun to play 30-plus home games in front of an electric crowd."

Auburn is set to face a tough schedule as 37 of its games are against teams that made the postseason last year, including 32 against teams that were in the 2017 NCAA Tournament.

The Tigers begin the season by hosting three of their annual tournaments in the opening four weekends.

The Plainsman Invite kicks off the campaign, Feb. 8-11. In the round-robin tournament, Auburn will face Furman, Marshall and Wichita State twice as well as Tennessee Tech once.

Following a road game at Troy, Feb. 14, the Tigers return home for the Tiger Invite, Feb. 16-18.

Auburn is scheduled to duel with Delaware, Georgia State, Maryland and Saint Francis in its second tournament of the season.

The Tigers then embark on a cross-country trip to California for six games, beginning with a tilt at CSUN, Feb. 21.

Auburn is slated to take part in the prestigious Mary Nutter Classic, Feb. 22-24 and will take on four NCAA Tournament teams from a season ago in Notre Dame, Oregon State, San Jose State and Wisconsin. The Tigers also face Long Beach State in the annual tournament.

A trip back to The Plains for the Wilson/DeMarini Classic follows Auburn's western road swing, March 2-4. In the classic, the Tigers take on UNCW, Western Carolina and Western Illinois.

Southeastern Conference play gets underway the next weekend as Auburn opens up with a three-game series at LSU, March 9-11.

After a doubleheader at Southern Miss (March 12), the Tigers host in-state rival Alabama for a three-game set, March 16-18, at Jane B. Moore Field.

Auburn wraps up a seven-game homestand with a non-conference clash against Alabama State (March 21) and a series versus Kentucky, March 23-25.

The Tigers round out the month with a road trip to Ole Miss, March 30-April 1.

Auburn then hosts four consecutive games, beginning with Kennesaw State, April 4. The Tigers wrap up the mini-homestand with a three-game series against Tennessee, April 6-8.

The orange and blue Tigers then hit the road for three games at Missouri, April 13-15, at the site of the 2018 SEC Tournament in Columbia, Mo.

Auburn's final home series of the year caps off with Arkansas, April 20-22.

Coach Dean and the Tigers end the regular season on the road as they travel to Texas A&M, April 27-29, before closing the year with a doubleheader at Chattanooga, May 6.

Following the SEC Tournament, May 9-12, Auburn will look to host the NCAA Regionals for the fourth-straight year as the weekend for the opening round is May 17-20.

Super Regionals are set for the next weekend, May 24-27, and the 2018 Women's College World Series is scheduled for May 31-June 6 in Oklahoma City, Okla.

All game dates and times are subject to change, including the SEC tilts that are currently on the 2018 schedule, pending television assignments from the SEC Network.
