AUBURN, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" Current and future Hunt Seat riders for the No. 5 Auburn equestrian team have added to their already extensive resumes away from the Plains.

"Success in the industry competitions is great for our program," head coach Greg Williams said. "Not only does it keep the riders heavily tested by making them stronger college competitors, but it also provides opportunities to be great advocates for NCAA Equestrian in the public arena."

Freshman Taylor St. Jacques enjoyed a wealth of success this fall in addition to putting up big numbers for the Tigers. Among her many accolades, the Glen Allen, Va., product won the Dover Saddlery/USEF Hunter Seat Medal Finals at the 2017 Pennsylvania National Horse Show in October.

In addition, St. Jacques capped the October by winning the Washington International Horse Show Junior Equitation Finals. McKayla Langmeier, a 2018 signee, came in second in the event.

Langmeier and St. Jacques reversed roles at the USEF Talent Search East Finals as Langmeier took home the hardware, while St. Jacques came in a close second. Auburn freshman Carly Hoft also competed in the event and finished seventh.

Langmeier too enjoyed success as the Pennsylvania National Horse Show, capturing the U25 Grand Prix.

Another 2018 signee in Emma Kurtz also put together solid performances this fall, beginning with a second-place finish at the Region 5 Maclay Regionals in September. Kurtz followed with a successful showing at the Capital Challenge Horse Show in October, winning the North American Equitation Championship.

In addition, freshman Emma Crosbie earned the Region 8 Maclay Regional title, while Hoft was named the WIHS Children's Jumper Championship winner.

The full Auburn team returns to competition with a busy weekend on the road, facing Baylor (Feb. 2) and Oklahoma State (Feb. 3) away from the Plains.
