AUBURN, Ala. -- Auburn will play five Sunday afternoon home games in Southeastern Conference play and 14 total home contests, highlighting the 2017-18 women's basketball schedule released Tuesday.

The Tigers will play six non-conference games and eight SEC contests at Auburn Arena, entering its eighth season as the home of Auburn basketball.

Auburn's first three SEC home games -- Dec. 31 vs. Florida, Jan. 7 vs. Texas A&M and Jan. 14 vs. Arkansas -- are on Sunday afternoons, as are the annual showdown with Alabama (Jan. 28) and Senior Day vs. Ole Miss (Feb. 25).

The season tips off with a tough road contest at Virginia Tech (Nov. 13), followed by home games with North Carolina A&T (Nov. 16) and Louisiana Tech (Nov. 19). The Tigers will spend their Thanksgiving weekend in Nashville for the Challenge in Music City, where Auburn will face Georgetown, Northwestern and UT-Chattanooga at Municipal Auditorium. November wraps up with a visit from Louisiana-Monroe (Nov. 29).

December opens with a return trip to Indiana (Dec. 3), then a rare road/home back-to-back as the Tigers travel to Louisiana-Lafayette on Friday, Dec. 8, then play host to Southern on Saturday, Dec. 9. After a week off for final exams, Auburn will host Southeastern Louisiana (Dec. 19) and Xavier University of Louisiana (Dec. 28) to close out non-conference play.

SEC play begins on New Year's Eve as Auburn hosts Florida. Other home games in SEC play for the Tigers include Texas A&M (Jan. 7), Arkansas (Jan. 14), Alabama (Jan. 28), LSU (Feb. 8), Vanderbilt (Feb. 12), Missouri (Feb. 15) and Ole Miss (Feb. 25). Auburn will make road trips to Tennessee (Jan. 4), South Carolina (Jan. 11), LSU (Jan. 18), Georgia (Jan. 21), Kentucky (Feb. 1), Texas A&M (Feb. 4), Alabama (Feb. 18) and Mississippi State (Feb. 22).

The 2018 SEC Tournament runs Feb. 28-March 4 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

Auburn is coming off back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances and returns three starters from the 2016-17 team. Head coach Terri Williams-Flournoy begins her sixth season at Auburn and her 14th overall as a head coach.

Season ticket renewals continue through Aug. 31, and new season tickets will go on sale to the general public Sept. 6.
