AUBURN, Ala. - In its first road match of the spring season, the Auburn men's tennis team fell 6-1 at Georgia Tech Sunday at the Ken Byers Tennis Complex in Atlanta.

The Yellow Jackets claimed the doubles point with wins on courts three and one, and captured the first set in five of six singles matches, the exception being on court six, where Auburn freshman Tad Maclean went ahead 6-4 over Daniel Yun.

The Tigers continued to persist, and all six singles matches advanced to a third set, with five of them involving tiebreakers. Auburn's Edward Nguyen came from behind won a three-set decision on court one over Carlos Divar 3-6, 6-4, 7-6, but Georgia Tech won the remaining matches.

Auburn is now 3-1 while Georgia Tech goes to 3-1 for the spring season. Auburn's next action comes January 26-27 in the Crimson Indoors event at Harvard. The next home matches for the Tigers are February 2 against Georgia State and Liberty.
