Auburn Holds at No. 16 in Weekly Rankings

AUBURN, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" The Auburn gymnastics team remained at No. 16 on the RoadtoNationals.com weekly rankings following a solid road score of 196.375 at Georgia this past Friday. The Tigers upped their average to 195.650.

"We've got our hands full now that we are in the meat of our SEC schedule," head coach Jeff Graba said. "Kentucky, the sixth-ranked team in the country, is coming to town this week and we need to rise to the occasion. This young group is going to be tested and we need a packed Auburn Arena to help us Friday!"

Oklahoma returns to the rankings this week at the No. 1 spot, while LSU stands second in the nation. Utah, UCLA, and Florida round out the Top 5. Kentucky and Alabama are in spots six and seven, while Arkansas is 10th, Georgia 11th, and Missouri is 17th.

The Tigers moved up to 12th nationally on vault with a 49.008 average and on beam at 49.017. The squad's 48.892 average on bars is 18th.

Junior Samantha Cerio's 9.892 average on bars in tied for 12th nationally, while freshman Drew Watson is tied for 25th on vault with a 9.858 mark.

Auburn (2-3, 1-1) hosts No. 6 Kentucky Friday, Jan. 26, in Auburn Arena beginning at 7:30 p.m. CT. The Tigers and the Wildcats will go head-to-head live on SEC Network and the meet will be the team's annual 'Are You Shorter Than Jeff Graba?' event. Tickets are also available at AUBtix.com.
