Following a three-event win last weekend at Florida, Aly Tetzloff has been named the SEC Women's Swimmer of the Week by both the conference office and CollegeSwimming.com.
Tetzloff, a junior from Crown Point, Ind., won the 100 back (53.14), the 100 free (48.72) and the 200 IM (1:59.12) in No. 12 Auburn's dual meet win at No. 16 Florida. Her 100 back time matched her career best, done twice already this year.
Tetzloff was also a part of Auburn's winning 200 medley relay with a 24.82 leadoff split, best in the field.
With the dual meet season over, Tetzloff leads Auburn in individual wins with 12 and is tied for the team high with five NCAA B cuts.
Auburn's dual meet win was its first for the women at Florida since 2006. Coupled with the 2017 dual meet victory in Auburn, it marked the first time Auburn has claimed back-to-back dual meet wins over the Gators since winning 11 straight from 1996-07.
Auburn will have one final tune-up before the SEC Championships when it plays host to the Auburn Invitational, Feb. 2-4. Other teams expected to compete are Alabama, Florida and Florida State.
