No. 10 Tigers hold commanding lead at All-American Intercollegiate

HUMBLE, Texas - No. 10 Auburn Men's Golf holds a commanding 13-stroke lead after two rounds of play at The All-American Intercollegiate, carding a 17-under 271 Saturday at the AAI Course at the Golf Club of Houston.

Saturday's 271 is the second-lowest round in AAI history, trailing only Baylor's second round 268 last season.

The Tigers (31-under 274-271-545) lead No. 3 Baylor (279-279-558) by 13 strokes and host-Houston (274-288-562) by 17 strokes. Four Tigers are in the top 10 in the standings paced by sophomore Jovan Rebula, who holds a one-stroke lead at 10-under 69-65-134.

The George, South Africa, product carded seven birdies on Nos. 3, 4, 6 and 8 on the front nine and Nos. 10, 11, and 17 on the back. His 65 is career-low and tied for the lowest round in AAI history.

Junior Trace Crowe moved up 19 spots to t-3 at 8-under 70-66-136. The Bluffton S.C. native carded eight birdies on Nos. 2, 3, 4 and 8 on the front nine and 10, 13, 15 and 18 on the back.

Senior Ben Schottman is in 5th at 7-under 70-67-137 while freshman Brandon Mancheno is a shot back and t-6th at 6-under 65-73-138.

Junior Ryan Knop, who is playing as an individual, moved up 24 spots to t-15 at 72-69-141. The Pleasanton, California, native tallied 6 birdies today on Nos. 2, 4 and 7 on the front nine and 12, 15 and 16 on the back. Freshman Wells Padgett is t-69 at 75-75-150.

South Carolina (281-283-564) is in fourth followed by Ole Miss (276-291-567) and No. 13 Wake Forest (286-282-568).

South Alabama (281-292-573) and North Texas (281-292-573) are tied for seventh followed by SMU (286-289-575), Sam Houston State (285-293-578), Rice (290-289-579), UTSA (290-290-580), Charlotte (294-289-583) and McNeese State (292-293-585).

Georgia State (295-294-589) and Cincinnati (296-293-589) are t-15 followed by Southeastern Louisiana (292-300-592) and Lamar University (297-300-597).
