WAIKOLOA, Hawaii - No. 8 Auburn Men's Golf is 8th after the Amer Ari Invitational second round, carding a 9-under 279 at the Kings' Crossings Course at the Waikoloa Beach Resort in Waikoloa, Hawaii on Friday.
The Tigers are 11-under 286-279-565.
No. 2 Oklahoma State leads at 29-under 280-267-547, while No. 3 Georgia Tech and No. 14 Texas Tech are t-2 at 281-275-556.
Freshman Brandon Mancheno helped bring the team up a spot with a 7-under-70-67 -137. The Jacksonville, Florida native tallied six birdies on Friday on Nos. 2, 4 and 9 on the front nine and 12, 16 and 17 on the back.
Sophomore Jovan Rebula is five strokes back from Mancheno at 2-under-71-71-142. Juniors Jacob Solomon (74-70-144) and Trace Crowe (71-73-144) are both at even. Freshman Wells Padgett is 2-over-75-71-146.
In the trio of individuals Senior Ben Schlottman moved up 18 spots to t-78 at 4-over-77-71-148. Freshman Andrew Kozan (76-73-149) and Junior Graysen Huff (74-75-159) are t-84 at 5-over.
No. 19 Southern California is in fourth (282-276-558) followed by No. 16 Texas (279-283-562) tied with Oregon (287-275-562) and TCU (281-282-563).
Arizona State is three strokes behind Auburn in ninth (289-279-568) followed by No. 10 Stanford (288-282-570), San Jose State (282-289-571) and Colorado (287-284-571), UC Davis (283-289-572), Osaka Gakuin University (296-286-582) and Oregon State (302-287-589).
Pacific (305-288-593) and Hawaii-Hilo (302-291-593) are t-16 followed by Hawaii (308-311-619).
Hayden Wood of Oklahoma State holds the individual lead at 10-under 69-65-134.
