AUBURN, Ala. - The No. 13 Auburn women's tennis team will be taking on Alabama this Friday, March 16 at 2 p.m. at home in the Yarbrough Tennis Center.

The Tigers have been on a roll lately as they are currently on a four-match winning streak and recently climbed five spots in the latest ITA Rankings. Auburn achieved these accolades after a perfect weekend where the Tigers swept Mississippi State 4-0, defeated No. 11 Ole Miss in a 4-3 thriller and swept Alabama A&M 7-0.

The Tiger freshmen had a great weekend, not losing a match. Jaeda Daniel was perfect, going 2-0 in singles and 3-0 in doubles. Her victory over Ole Miss' No. 106 Sabina Machalova was particularly crucial as it evened the match back up, sparking the remaining Tigers to victory. Daniel's success was later amplified by being named SEC Freshman of the Week.

Madeline Meredith was no different, going 3-0 in singles and 2-0 in doubles. Meredith's consistent success has been a key to Auburn's success this season, and it shows in her stellar spring record.

Meredith is now up to an impressive 15-2 in singles and 13-4 in doubles, mostly competing in the middle of the lineup. Daniel is now a respectable 9-5 in singles at the top of the lineup and 14-3 in doubles on the season. As a tandem, the two have teamed up to manage a record of 8-1.

The Tigers are 15-5 on the season and 3-1 in SEC play. Auburn's next action will be another tough home stand against No. 10 South Carolina and No. 18 Florida. Auburn will face No. 10 South Carolina on Thursday, March 22 at 6 p.m. The Tigers will then square off against No. 18 Florida on Saturday, March 24 at noon.
