COLUMBUS, Ohio - Aly Tetzloff and the 400 medley relay will both return for evening swims at the 2018 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships at Ohio State. Tetzloff will swim in the championship finals of the 50 free while the 400 medley relay will be in the consolation finals Thursday night.

50 Freestyle
Tetzloff just missed her personal best in the 50 free prelims, clocking a 21.85 to make her way into the A Final. Her time was just .02 seconds off her SEC Championships time of 21.83 and now gives her the 12th, 13th and 14th-fastest performances in school history in the event.

The last Auburn swimmer to score in the 50 free was Emily Bos in 2013 and the last to swim in the A Final was Arianna Vanderpool-Wallace in 2012, when she finished third.

Ashton Ellzey finished 25th in 22.42, which is the highest finish in her career at the national meet.

400 Medley Relay
Auburn raced into the B Final with a 3:31.47. Erin Falconer led off in 52.13, which put Auburn in fourth in the heat and was a personal best for the junior. That time is the 14th-fastest performance in school history. Breanna Roman followed with a 59.25 backstroke leg to keep Auburn in fourth. Haley Black swam a 51.52 fly leg, moving the group up to third. Julie Meynen then anchored in 48.57 as the quartet slid back to fourth.

Auburn is in the consolation finals for the first time since the 2015 championships, when it finished 14th.
