When I came to Auburn, I talked to the coaches and I saw everything, I knew Auburn was the place for me. The coaches were great. I knew I would play really well underneath them. The campus was amazing. Everyone was just like an Auburn family. It really is true. It's an Auburn family and I could tell that from the beginning.
I'm currently enrolled in Auburn University's Harrison School of Pharmacy. My interest in pharmacy began at a career fair in fourth grade, when my mom suggested it is a job possibility. Pharmacy combines my interest in science with my desire to help people.
Between patient visits, labs and meetings outside of class, my pharmacy schedule required flexibility from my teammates. But they were always so great. I'm thankful they were so understanding about it.
I am also thankful that I get to be in such a special place. I looked at a lot of schools, but I'm so glad I decided to come to Auburn because this really is the place for me. It's like a second home to me and everyone here is so nice and special. There are so many people here to help you like Dr. Peter Livant who taught me in organic chemistry. He was so awesome. He taught me so much. He was a really good professor.
Auburn is more than a place to go to school, work or engage in research and scholarship. It is a spirit that's not afraid. It is a place that inspires hard work, honesty, respect and mutual helpfulness. Auburn transforms lives. As Dr. Leath points out, employers consistently rank leadership among the top attributes they search for in new employees. His commitment to providing real world laboratories where students can gain leadership principles in their communities will better prepare and transform students so that they can compete in the marketplace and make meaningful contributions.
I know first-hand that student-athletes have a strong work ethic, understand time management and have the ability to work well in teams. Student-athletes at Auburn University are tested and proven.
Students who graduate from Auburn are on the move.
